I need something, to believe in…

So, since my last Happy Tree Friends review…lets have a look at the others Ive done since…*checks*

Review - Alone In The Dark

Review - Schizoid

Review - Battlefield: Bad Company

Review - Soul Calibur

I reviewed my own copy of Alone In The Dark, cos its not like XCN were going to send any, and with Acey away till this week, and Mush being away, nothing new was coming through.

Lovefilm review -

Clive Barkers Jericho
Pros: Good game, very gory, not really scary so much goes on the old massive gore fest. Interesting story.
Cons: Too short. Only 5 missions split into chapters. Can only be lengthened by playing through on Hard and thats only cos your A.I. friends are thick as shit. No multiplayer
Rating: 6/10

Thats all really. Buy Newton Faulkners album Hand Built By Robots. Its fucking class. All Ive been listening too all week.

All of which are American Dreams…

Could really use with that ol’ new Desktop sometime soon. Need to use and abuse it to get things going muscially, got to get shit rolling.

Whilst I’m waiting, I’m taking advantage of that lovefilm code I got, so I got some things to pass the time with and just generally try out some games which I wouldn’t normally buy. (And not whore the code out for easy achievements, I grew outta that after 25k)

So, cos I only have like 2 reviews to do, Ima do shortuns on the games I’m getting off lovefilm. I’m talking proper shortuns. See how bored I’m getting?

So heres the first 3.

CSI: Hard Evidence
Pros: Good little game, different to the normal games you see, definitely something for the Observant or a CSI fan.
Cons: Only 5 cases, and the way the games set out theres a lot of back and forth going around, more suited for PC gaming rather than console.
Rating: 5/10

Stuntman Ignition
Pros:
Stuntman for PS2 finally got a sequel, awesome.
Cons: Too much of the same old same old, a lot of parts from here are seen in the original. And the constructor mode wasnt as fun to use as the sequel.
Rating: 4/10

Sega Rally
Pro:
Looks really nice, first game to use the track deformation first seen in Motorstorm and works a treat, proper arcade game this. Pretty sick cars to drive too.
Cons: Pad vibrations a little strong, driving over the deformed track n such is like playing with a Pneumatic drill. Driver A.I. is quite a steep rise in the single player games.
Rating: 6/10

More to come soon

Like Silent Hill 2? Got an Xbox 360?

•July 25, 2008 • No Comments

Good…then put your vote in here and lets see if we can get it as an Xbox Original for download on the Marketplace.

Do it now.

Im doing this because of a little trouble I ran in with backwards compatability for it. Its compatable on xbox.com but for hundreds of gamers you’ll be greeted with only Sound and no visuals, or worse, if you can see it, unrendered landscapes and objects.

Bad times. Im a big Silent Hill fan if you havent gathered, so stop reading this and put your vote in that request thread. Ill do a big usual update post like i normally do sometime next week, so yes…go…VOTE!!

Please say you are what you offer…

Im reviewless now, done Soul Calibur and Battlefield Bad Company, now got nout to do as we found owners for the other ones I might have had to do.

Guess I just have to wait for more stuff to come along till then…

Managing to find all my old cookies n such stored on my old dead laptop now, so I have access to most things again now. Ready for when my Desktop is made n such. Should be fun that.

Also need to start learning how to use Reason. Got an idea for a song or two I want to remix/redo.

Both tracks by a band called American Head Charge, which Im heavily into lately.

- To Be Me
- Downstream

I reckon some remix shit or ever some just covers could be done there. But yeah…must wait for my desktop to come before I can start making new stuff. Oh well, been waiting most my life for this kinda thing so whats a few more months eh?

Other than that…thats about it again.

‘…dont say Im alone.’

Coming at you from a very irritating and clanky keyboard attached to my dads PC. Yeah, My laptop kicked the bucket, and like the bastard it was, he wasnt going down with a fight and managed to take the contents of my Hard Drive with him. 80 Gb of music, photos, designs, reviews, future reviews, work, creative writing, band stuff, music ideas all gone.

¬__¬ Prick.

If it had held out till when i got my External HDD or at least my new custom Desktop coming for my birthday (which is going to be sick by the way) i wouldnt have minded. But yeah, more on my new Desktop later. :)

But yeah, back to work really. Will be using this space as the catch up from reviews I’ve done for May after my last big list which ended on my 30th being Grand Theft Auto 4. so from newest to the 31st.

Review - Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm

Preview - Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta

Review - Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3

Review - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Review - Warlords

Review - Rock Band

So thats what, 35 now? Not too bad I suppose, would have liked to have done more than just 5 this month, but its getting more and more busier on XCN’s end recently so heres to hoping, hell maybe even something good to come of it all?

Happy Tree Friends being Xbla’s 200th review hence why i rushed it after losing all my notes yesterday. Still, I have Battlefield: Bad Company to write up, and possibly Soul Calibur (XBLA) and maybe Unreal Tournament III to do for next week. BFBC is a definate though.

Run out of things to waffle on about now. Thats all then, better check those links go to the right reviews then.

Peas.

Hard to say what, caught my attention…

No major things to report today.

June hasnt been as busy or interesting as I was hoping, however Ive got about 4 reviews out so far. Will be starting one more later today, and another one Friday.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta…or (SSFIITHDR) for short…yeah right like thats any easier to remember…anyway, Will have to do a quicky on that cos its only available through the Arcade game WOTB: Commando 3 which was infact the last review I did so, only makes sense I do this one. That and Im the only Staff Writer with the game, cos i had to review it…obviously. I think Im going round in circles here…

Friday, Ill finally be able to claim my ‘reward’ for being screwed out of first place on Play.com Live’s Rock Band Battle of The Bands which we blatently won but for time reasons they cut us short and gave us second place, a EA bag of EA branded junk (Free shit is free shit, who am I to complain?) and a Free EA game of my choice. Only problem at the time was the only interesting EA games out at the time were Burnout Paradise, Army of Two and Fifa Street 3, all of which…I’d reviewed a few months before, so I had to choose one in advance that hadnt been released yet. That being. Battlefield: Bad Company. If you’ve not seen the ‘Snake Eyes’ trailer, watch it. It made me laugh :)

I was hoping for Alone In The Dark to come from XCN but they’ve failed me on that front giving me nout. XCN have been taking the mickey lately. Xbla and its staff deserve more from them considering we’re ‘The cream of the crop’ according to ol’ Acey Bongos. Some of us have Careers to make from this ya’know man.

I reckon Ill post up all of my June reviews up at the end of the month. Make a bit more sense then and will be up to date from my mass 30 whorage a few entries ago.

Other news…my good friend Hannah has got me back into Slipknot - Vol 3. Thank you :) Though Im still not keen on what there new stuff is like…that first track isnt promising :(

I should really get some sleep. Got work later tonight.

‘…all of my endings, are waiting to begin.’

Blankety, Blank…

I find it strange how my bed feels a lot more empty as of recent, when you have yourself a partner then things are fine, even if thier not staying the night with you. But when you dont, the whole having that extra half of bed just feels more empty, just a void where somethings…missing? I miss having that. I dont like empty.

Thats my mope over.

Sites being slow, so If you read this and your not apart of xboxliveaddicts I suggest you become a member and liven things up a bit, without causing trouble obviously. Just one review for me to do this weekend and possibly a hell of a lot of work with the achievement threads.

I also suggest you buy Hadoukens album, its bangin’ shiz.

Till I have something interesting to say…peas.

1st June

•June 1, 2008 • No Comments

I cant actually believe its June already…its getting stupid how quick things happen.

A lots already happened this first half of the year, a lot of it quite negative. Leaving college, losing important people in my life, etc etc. To say it hasnt been easy wouldnt do it justice. I can hope the next half of the year is a little more forgiving. Though with my luck. Im not holding my breath.

Jap Fest - Silverstone today, was pretty sweet. Here’s the pictures. Looking forward to going back to the official Trax show in sept. I go every year.

Till the next time i got something on my chest…

Light my hands on fire, my sweet angel…

Nothing really major relevent to post, im just so very bored and cant sleep.

Other than that, I can live up to my hypocritical ways and say yeah, i bought Rock Band. But for only £132 thanks to Play.com and more work allowing me to afford it.

Which also leads on to me just buying things for the sake of it. Though it turned out pretty good. Pendulum - In Silico (Limited Edition) *dribbles*, Mellowdrone - Box very very good album. And 3 tickets to see the very Pendulum in Brixton in december. Its gonna be fun, starts at 9pm and doesnt finish till 3am, will be epic to say the least. I love just watching the bass speakers on my stereo go nuts to just the album at high volume, let alone another live performance. Aaaaaaah.

Other than that, review land has me with Rock Band to write up over the weekend, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and probably a bunch more as the weeks come along.

Progress with band = Zilch =’( . My day will come sometime. I hope.

And to end this with a…erm I dont know. Im tired, but i dont want too sleep. So Ill just end it. Riiiiight….now.

I lied.

Peas.
